We already went to a Halloween party, and now it's time to go to the mall and Grandma's house. He has fun going out, but I don't give him too many sweets yet. Most of his candy will be shared with mommy and daddy, and substituted for fruit snacks.

Happy Halloween!
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween! Here's my little pumpkin all ready in his costume. He has 3 favorite shows he likes to watch and Jake and the Neverland Pirates are one of them. :)

Super Easy and Cheap Halloween Decoration
Create a super easy and super cheap way to decorate your porch or sidewalk leading up to your house. The only things you use are brown paper bags and flame-less candles. You can cut out your own spooky (or not so scary) message; it can be customized to your style. So have some fun with it and get creative! Get the how-to on Martha's site by clicking here.

Talking Pumpkins
Have some fun this Halloween with a talking pumpkin on your porch. Carve your pumpkin, including a hole in the bottom to put an old baby monitor inside. The parent's unit is the one you put inside. Then you or your kids can talk into the baby's unit whenever party guests or trick-or-treaters come near. This cute idea is from Martha Stewart's site. Click here to get the full instructions.

Pay Day for Halloween
Do you like to decorate with candy corn but don't like the taste? I've never liked them personally. My mom used to mix them with salted peanuts and I liked them then. They taste a lot like a pay day candy bar.
Just add about 3 times as many peanuts as you do candy corns to get the mix right. Now you can decorate all you want with candy corns.... as long as you have peanuts on hand.

As promised, the second set of Halloween cupcake toppers are up tonight. This is the "bat set". Tomorrow I have a post for you with 2 ways to decorate with bats, so don't miss it. Or if you like the first set, I have an idea including candy corn that will make it taste better (I'm not a big fan of how they taste alone).

Halloween Cupcake Toppers: Set 1
I just love this time of year, as I really get into the holiday season. Halloween is the start of it all. I'm not sure if it will be this year, because Tyler is so young, but next year I want to take him to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. You go to Disney, after the park closes for their regular hours, dressed up in your costumes. They have trick or treating, you can go on the rides, and a Halloween parade. It looks like so much fun!
Speaking of fun, I really got into designing for Halloween. I wound up making not one, but two sets of designs. Here is the first of two. I will have more pictures of these and the next set tomorrow. I'm also going to get them into the shop by tomorrow.

Craft: Cute Halloween Candle Holders and Vase
I know it's Labor Day weekend this weekend, but I thought I'd kick off Halloween decorations a week early since I have a lot of cute ideas to show you. So here's the first super easy craft idea I found online.
Save up your tomato sauce cans! These super cute Halloween table decorations are made by using the 8 oz. cans. The vase uses a 28 oz Can of Whole or Pureed Tomatoes.
They're so easy and cheap to make. Spread these out on your party table for some added style. I found them on a new site I found called LivingLocurto.com created by blog owner Amy Locurto. You must go there and see more of the amazing ideas she has on her site!

Super Cute Halloween Costumes
I've been seeing Halloween stuff all over the internet. It seems a little early to me. I'm still enjoying summer and not ready just yet to plan for the beginning of the holidays. Do you plan this early? Or am I just a late planner?
I did see these super cute kids costumes from Pottery Barn Kids and wanted to share them. I've been a fan of Pottery Barn for a long time, but hadn't looked at PBKids section until right before my son was born last year. Aren't their costumes adorable? Above are a few of my favorites, but go to their site to see more by clicking here.
