Adorable Gumball Necklace Party Favors

Aren't these too cute for a girl's birthday party?  They look like real necklaces, but those are actually gumballs on the necklace, not beads.  It's a great idea for party favors.  The flower gives it that extra pretty touch.

Rebekah from A Blissful Nest created these necklaces, which are featured on Project Nursery.  They look super easy to make too.  I like cute, yet easy to make crafts that I know I could make without difficulty.  Click here to get the instructions.

DIY: Flower Garland

Here's something fun and festive to brighten your Monday.  It's a nice little change to the regular pom poms you see online.  It would be perfect for a little girl's party.

You could use them for really about any party theme.  That's one of the nice things about the diy part- you're able to customize the colors to whatever you want.

They look so easy to make and you don't need many supplies.  This idea came from Jenny of  Hank and Hunt  which she created for You are My Fave's website. Click here to get the instructions.

Italian Sodas

These look sooo delicious!  I am going to the store right after this post to pick up the ingredients.  I've never had Italian sodas, but they look amazing.  Don't you think these would be a super cute addition to a party table as well?

You can see the recipe for them in the picture, but I got it from a site called Sugar and Charm.  To get all the details not on the recipe, as well as more amazing ideas from the site, click here.

Have a great weekend everyone!  Let me know if you've ever had these.  I'm so excited to try them!

Fall Party: Owls and Raccoons Theme

This party caught my eye.  It's such a fun party for the fall.  It has the colors of the fall leaves but the bright blue, orange and green also adds brightness into the decorations.  Doesn't this table just look perfectly set up?  I love the tiny hay barrels, they're a cute added touch.

You must check out these costumes the young guests got to wear.  Aren't they adorable?   They must have had so much fun with these!

This party is decorated by Courtney Portner and was featured on Amy Atlas' blog.  Check out all the incredible details including the party table by going to Amy's site : Sweet Designs.

Baby Shower Craft: Designing Onesies

At my baby shower, one of my friends throwing the shower for me bought a lot of white onesies for everyone at the party to decorate. I thought it was a cute idea to get personalized onesies from everyone.

The video below takes this idea a step further by using stencils and fabrics. What a great, easy, and fun idea! Your onsies are sure to turn out super cute using this method!

Craft: Cute Halloween Candle Holders and Vase

I know it's Labor Day weekend this weekend, but I thought I'd kick off Halloween decorations a week early since I have a lot of cute ideas to show you.  So here's the first super easy craft idea I found online.

Save up your tomato sauce cans! These super cute Halloween table decorations are made by using the 8 oz. cans.  The vase uses a 28 oz Can of Whole or Pureed Tomatoes.

They're so easy and cheap to make.  Spread these out on your party table for some added style.  I found them on a new site I found called LivingLocurto.com created by blog owner Amy Locurto.  You must go there and see more of the amazing ideas she has on her site!

Gender Reveal Baby Shower

This baby shower is such a cute idea!  I think it would be a lot of fun to have your family and friends guess which gender they think your baby is, and then have a great reveal during the party.  I'm not sure what gifts you would buy for them though?  Gender neutral stuff? Gift cards?

The amazing party above was decorated by Kim of The TomKat Studio for Pottery Barn Kids.  You can go to the site to get all the party details, how-to instructions, and free printables by clicking here.

How to Make Candy Melts

Does anyone make candy melts now?  My mom used to make them when my sister and I were growing up, and I still like to make them on occasion.  I not only enjoy it, but it brings back some happy memories.  Above are some ducks and hearts I made for my son Tyler's baby shower.

I also spotted these Easter ones with the lollipop sticks from Beth at Hungry Happenings.   Beth gives such clear, detailed instructions on how to make these- you can't go wrong!  Click here to go to Hungry Happenings and get the instructions.  While you're there, you must check out more of her desserts.  She has some amazing ideas!  I've found several I want to try.

Candy melts are really easy to make once you know how to make them. Wouldn't the lollipop ones be a cute party favor to give away?

You can buy an assortment of candy molds and melts at most craft stores like Michaels or Joanns. The molds are inexpensive, so if you're making a few batches, I would say to buy 2 molds per person so you can work continuously until finished.  If you make some, let me know how they turn out!

Surf's Up! Crafts

Are you planning a beach themed party and need some ideas of what crafts for the kids to do?  I found a few cute ideas online.

Surfboards: Crayola's website gives the idea of using cardboard or foam core to make surfboards.  Then you can put out markers, stickers, glitter, and other embellishments for the kids to put on them.  It also gives instructions on how to make a surfboard stand for them. Click here to go to Crayola's site for the full details.

Other ideas include:
  •  making Palm Trees,
  • Sand Art, including pictures with colored sand, and
  • my favorite- Seashell Creatures. For these you get seashells and things like wiggly eyes, pompoms and anything else you think might be cute to put on a "sea creature."
To see the details on these 3 click here to go to Shelley Frost's post on Yahoo! Voices.

*My cupcake toppers are now in 2 versions: printable diy files, and a completed package sent right to your home.  Click here to visit my store.

Party Details: Sock Monkey Birthday Party

door sign
cupcake toppers
food signs
thank you tags
birthday boy opening presents

As promised, here are the pictures of the items I created for the sock monkey birthday party my friend, Gina, had for her little boy.  I created a door sign, cupcake toppers, food signs, and thank you favor tags.  Then the last picture is of the handsome birthday boy, Ben, with his sock monkey shirt on... so cute!  His mom, Gina is the one with the blue shirt on.  We used to work together and she was always one of the nicest people there.  I'm so glad we became friends are keeping in touch still.  She's 38 weeks along with her second baby.  Boy is she going to have her hands very full soon!

*Oops!  I forgot to take a picture of the real party favor bags, so above is a picture of them without the boxes we put them on at the party. *   If I started the project sooner, I would've loved to have made a happy birthday banner for her as well.  And maybe invitations and thank you cards would also be good to have a completed package?

Well, the party was a lot of fun. My son, Tyler and I loved going!  Tyler had such a great time.  This was his first party where he was able to interact more.  He's getting so big! I think Tyler will want me to make decorations for many more parties.  :) He and Ben are pretty close in age so that was fun to see them interact and play together.

Thanks Gina for inviting us!  We had such a wonderful time!

Adventure's Out There: Disney's "UP" Inspired Birthday Party

In our house, we love Disney/Pixar's movie Up.  So when I saw this party on Pizzazzerie that was created by Dreamers Joy Events & Design, I instantly loved it.  There are so many amazing details that went into this party.

I love the map that they put up in the background and how it's bright turquoise color.  Then the orange details are great, keeping a fun and bright feeling to it all.  The balloons tied to the present is an easy way to decorate, and so perfect for this theme.  And could those party favor bags be any cuter?  Love this party!  If you want to see even more details for this party, click here.
